What Is It?

ITS supports teaching spaces across campus so instruction starts on time and runs smoothly. Services include:

  • Troubleshooting for display/audio, connectivity, and control issues
  • Pre‑classroom checks (room technology verification before important sessions)
  • Instructor coaching/training, including a Newline Smart TV quick‑start and deeper dive sessions
  • Connection guidance for laptops and mobile devices (HDMI/USB‑C/wireless casting when available)
  • Hybrid/recording setup help with camera/mic placement and Outlook/Teams meeting basics
  • Coordination with Facilities/Housing if a room layout or power/network factor is involved
Who Is Eligible to Use It?

  • Faculty & Staff teaching or presenting in LU classrooms and training spaces
  • Department coordinators scheduling support for courses, events, or guest speakers

How Do I Use It?

If class is in session (urgent)

  • Call 573‑681‑5888 for immediate triage. We’ll work the issue by phone and dispatch if needed.
  • Try the fast reset: power the display/projector off/on; reseat HDMI/USB‑C; ensure the correct input is selected.

  • Building/room, course or event name, date/time window (include setup time before class)

What you’ll use

  • Newline Smart TV (model if known), projector, in‑room PC, document camera, mic/speakers
  • Your source device(s) (Windows/macOS/iPad/other) and needed connections (HDMI/USB‑C)
  • Wireless casting needed (yes/no) and which device will cast
