What Is It?
This service grants you access to existing LU‑licensed software—for example, assigning a license, adding you to the correct group/role, or enabling features already available under an LU agreement. If the request turns out to be for something not already licensed, ITS will route it to the Software & Digital Resource Purchase workflow for security, accessibility, contract, and budget review. LU requires use consistent with software licensing and University contracts.
Example: requests for Power BI licenses are handled as access to an existing Microsoft 365 service when seats are available.
Example: requests for Adobe Acrobat Pro may require a new license to be purchased by the requesting department and added to Lincoln's VIP management.
Who Is Eligible to Use It?
- Faculty & Staff: May request access for themselves or members of their unit.
- Student employees/Graduate assistants: Eligible when access is required for job duties and approved by a supervisor.
- Contractors/Affiliates: By exception with department head sponsorship and ITS review.
- Students (non‑employees): Access is limited to student‑entitled software; specialized titles require academic or departmental sponsorship.
Requests and resulting use must comply with LU acceptable use and licensing obligations.
